Potassium Ethyl Xanthate is shortest carbon chain of the xanthates, It is most useful on sulphide ore and complex ore for maximum selectivity, and .It is used as a vulcanisation accelerator for the rubber industry and a precipitant in the wetting metallurgical industry.
