【 Description 】

Yellowish powder or pellet with pungent odor, soluble in water or alcohol. It can from insoluble compounds with various metallic ions.

【 Principal Use 】

As stronger floatation collector, it is used in bulk floatation of various nonferrous metallic sulfide minerals. Sodium Butyl Xanthate is especially fit for the floatation of chalcopyrite, sphalerite and pyrite. It can be also used in the selective floatation of copper sulfide minerals from iron sulfide minerals and in the floatation of sphalerite after activation by copper sulphate under the proper conditions.
